A Humble Beginning
Moved by the plight of poor section of the inhabitants of the area around Dahisar, a distant suburb (on the border of its outskirts) of Mumbai, due to lack of proper and affordable medical facilities in the area, Shri Nemji Karamshi Gangar, presently the Managing Trustee of the organisation, garnered support of various friends and like – thinking individuals to mobilise the funds for starting an affordable medical facility in the area.
Very soon, with the dedicated efforts of Shri Nemji Karamshi Gangar and his team, and whole hearted financial and moral support of philanthropists and well wishers, a small but definite step was taken by establishing Shri K V O Jain Manav Kalyan Kendra, Dahisar in the year 1985. This trust started its activities by establishing PRINCE HEALTH CENTER in the year 1991 in Dahisar East.
The objective of the said center was to provide cutting edge technological diagnostic facilities for all sections of the society at an affordable cost. It was the vision of the said founding team that the organisation should be run on a no – profit – no – loss basis but at the same time should be a self financing project. Thus the charges were provided at the lowest minimum possible to cover the cost of the diagnostic tests and at the same time to build up sufficient reserve to take care of wear and tear / obsolescence of the equipment’s.
Presently the said center has become a landmark spot in Dahisar providing medical services to around 1000 patients every day. Visiting Honorary Doctors are also invited to attend the center to provide medical advice to the patients visiting the center for diagnostic reports. Around 160 Honorary doctors render their services on a weekly basis.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1543468684341{padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;background-color: #223486 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][porto_ultimate_heading main_heading=”Founder and Trustees” main_heading_color=”#ffffff” sub_heading_color=”#ffffff” spacer=”line_only” spacer_position=”bottom” line_height=”1″ line_color=”#ffffff” main_heading_margin_bottom=”10″]

A Step Forward
Encouraged by the success in their objective of providing affordable and best medical diagnostic facilities to the society, the team started working towards the next logical step – of setting up multi-specialization medical hospital to provide affordable medical solution to the society.
Thus, Shri K.V.O. Jain Manav Seva Kendra, Dahisar, a trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, was conceived in 1997. Under the aegis of the said trust, with the relentless effort of the founder team and other trustees of the said trust, NAVNEET Hospital was established in 1997 at Borivali, a suburb adjoining Dahisar. Navneet Hospital contained 42 beds and 8 dialysis machines with a general operation theater and also a ophthalmic operation theater. It also consisted of cornea grafting center.
The worst fears of the Trustees soon came true. Due to its policy of running the facilities on “no – profit – no – loss but self financing” basis, the said hospital was unable to meet the increasing demands of the society. Also due to the space constraints at the hospital, the Trust was unable to start more medical facilities. And it was felt that the organisation needs to move up vertically and horizontally.
Presently, the said hospital is under renovation. After the renovation is completed in around two months, it will be equipped with a dialysis center having 20 machines, 2 ICU Beds, eye bank with cornea grafting and ophthalmic OT.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1543468710596{padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;background-color: #223486 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][porto_ultimate_heading main_heading=”Donor Trustees” main_heading_color=”#ffffff” sub_heading_color=”#ffffff” spacer=”line_only” spacer_position=”bottom” line_height=”1″ line_color=”#ffffff” main_heading_margin_bottom=”10″ line_width=”200″][/porto_ultimate_heading][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1536558088712{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][porto_info_list icon_color=”#ffffff”][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Bipin Amarchand Gala[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Smt Priti G Gala[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Ullas Vallabhji Gala[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Kishore Shamji Chheda[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Shantilal Lalji Chheda[/porto_info_list_item][/porto_info_list][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][porto_info_list icon_color=”#ffffff”][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Ratilal Karamshi Gangar[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Harakchand Lalji Savla[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Pankaj Virji Dharod[/porto_info_list_item][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Shri Harish Lalji Dedhia[/porto_info_list_item][/porto_info_list][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
Time to expand
It was planned to set up a hospital with latest investigative and diagnostic facilities comparable to any modern hospital in Mumbai. Relentless efforts again enabled the trustees to set up NAVNEET HI-TECH HOSPITAL at Dahisar in the year 2008 with modern equipment’s and facilities.
In short, Navneet Hi-Tech Hospital has succeeded in fulfilling the initial vision of the founder team. But, the team does not want to sit on its own laurels. With time and increasing medical problems being faced by the society at large, compounded with lack of any large hospital in the distant suburbs of Mumbai at affordable prices, the trustees have broadened their vision and are now planning to increase their reach in providing the medical facilities. We found that there is flow of patient is very high i.e. above the our capacity of above said hospital hence we have started After 11 year of our journey i.e. on 3rd, Feb. 2008, one more hospital known as “Navneet Hi-tech Hospital” under same trust with the help of Donation given by Navneet Publication India Ltd at Dahisar (e). At present we are serving with 82 beds including general wards, ICU with ventilator facility and deluxe, Twin sharing rooms and Two Laminar Flow Operation Theaters. This hospital covered with centralized air conditioners., C.T scan machine (with 24 hours service for 365 days in year), all type of scopies like Gastroscopy, colonoscopy, Laproscopy, Brochoscopy, Cystoscopy, Sinoscopy, Cysto uretero scopy, Orthoscopy, all type of Neuro detection and surgeries are being performed with latest equipment’s, all type of Orthopedic treatment including joint replacement (knee and hip replacement).
In the short period of time the above said hospital succeeded in full filling the vision of Managing trustee. The said hospital cover the major area belong to rural and suburb area. Managing trustee vision is to provide affordable treatment to the patient at very nominal cost. We are providing free treatment to the patient who live in a rural area at or below poverty line are dedicated full or part time to agriculture, forestry, fisheries, handicraft and related occupations and are over dependent for work and livelihood on others with more power and means of production.
The main categories of rural poor people are small and marginal owner farmers, tenants, sharecroppers, landless labourer, small fishermen, forestry workers and part of rural artisans of tribal people as well as of nomads and refugees. The poor women can belong to any of these categories. Various combinations of the above categories are frequently found.
Now time to expand vision, in the year 2014 we have started two hospitals one is known as “Navneet Dialysis Center” at I C Colony, Borivali (w) with capacity of 17 dialysis unit. Another hospital known as “Navneet Hospital” at Reliable residency, Nallasopara (e) with the capacity of 25 beds including General ward, ICU and deluxe Room and 2 operation theater and diagnostic center such as Sonography, 2d-echo, Pathology, x-ray, IVP, Dental X-ray, ECG, OPG, etc. and OPD department, Medicines, General surgery, ENT,Gynecology, Cardiology, Physiotherapy, Ophthal, Urology, Neurology, nephrology etc.
In the year of 2015 we have started another two hospital one is known as “Navneet Dialysis Centre“, at Chandra Darshan apartment, Nallasopara (e) 15 dialysis units and , Dental department, Dental x –ray and Sonography with 2 d-echo, Color Doppler etc.. and as we seems that in our Navneet hospital flow of patients is very high and waiting for Dialysis. Hence for the relief of patients we have opened another hospital known as “Shri K.V.O. Jain Manav Seva Kendra,Dahisar“, at Tejashwi Apt., Near St. Thomas Catholic Church, Sai Baba Nagar, Sundar Nagar Bus Stop, Mira-Bhayandar Road, Miraroad (East) 10 dialysis units and diagnostic center such as Sonography, 2d-echo, Color Doppler ,Pathology Collection, IVP, Dental X-ray, ECG, etc. and OPD department, Medicines, ENT, Gynecology, Cardiology, Physiotherapy, Ophthal, Urology, Neurology, nephrology etc.Dental department etc..
In the year of 2017 after compare the western suburban and Central stubborn our managing trustee Dr. Nemji Karamshi Gangar have taken one important decision i.e. start the center with full Facility at central suborn. as result of that within the same year started 2 centers at Dombivali known as Mahaveer Hospital with 53 beds capacity at P & T Colony, Gandhi Nagar, Dombivali (East) and Navneet Diagnostic Center at P & T Colony, Gandhi Nagar, Opp Mahaveer Hospital, Dombivali (East) with 10 Dialysis Unit, General Ward Male, General Ward Female, ICU, 2 Laminar Flow Operation theater and 1 Ophthal Operation Theater with latest technologies well trained staff and qualified registered Doctors with MMC (Maharashtra Medical Council).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1543468726417{padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;background-color: #223486 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][porto_ultimate_heading main_heading=”Medical Advisory Committee” main_heading_color=”#ffffff” sub_heading_color=”#ffffff” spacer=”line_only” spacer_position=”bottom” line_height=”1″ line_color=”#ffffff” main_heading_margin_bottom=”10″ line_width=”200″][/porto_ultimate_heading][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1536558099807{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][porto_info_list icon_color=”#ffffff”][porto_info_list_item list_icon=”fa fa-chevron-right”]Dr. Dwarika N. No time to rest
The management of the Trust is again restless for enlarging its reach on a greater scale. Continued success achieved by the team has given the necessary confidence to take the activities of the trust to larger scale. Inability to meet the medical needs of the society and awareness of the problems faced by the patients and their families, the satisfaction of having fulfilled the vision is not wholesome.
The Trustees are now looking ahead to establish a 400 bed multi-specialty hospital with attached medical and nursing college.
The said project would have a hospital building and necessary infrastructure for all types of medical treatment including inter-alia bye-pass operations, kidney transplants etc. All possible modern medical facilities are proposed to be set up in the said hospital.
The medical college is also proposed so as to attract the best of the faculty who would bring with them the latest technology in medical sciences and would also help to run the hospital in the cost effective manner.
The medical college / Nursing College would also have boarding facilities (hostel) for the students.
The said hospital shall also have departments for research and development of naturopathy, an effort to treat the medical problems with methods which are in harmony with nature. This would be supported with yoga and meditation centers / camps. The vision is to first try and eliminate the creation of the medical problems, and if they do arise to provide best possible solution for it.
With growing old age population compounded with the increasing westernized trend of nuclear and independent families, aged population are feeling isolated and lack companionship, love and care that they deserve in the golden age of their life. The trustees plan to set up a Home for old age people and destitute.
However, as it is with all philanthropic activities, large hearted donors and funding is required for setting up the necessary facilities. In the past also, the trustees / founder team had garnered support of the society (esp. the KVO Jain community) in raising the funds for setting up the organization. The trust placed by the community has largely been honored.
However, the trust is now also confident of raising its own resources to a larger extent and is now looking up to an organization / institution which shall become a partner in this service to the society.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
